Massage
Debbie has been a licensed massage therapist since 1992 and a graduate of the Swedish Institute. She has worked in several renowned spas, including Equinox, and has owned her own private practice since 1996. Debbie specializes in a relaxing yet firm Swedish massage and believes the best results come when she allows her hands to intuitively guide each session.
Deeply committed to using her skills in service of others, Debbie has volunteered extensively during times of crisis. In the aftermath of September 11, she was called upon to work at Ground Zero, providing massage to rescue workers at the Red Cross respite center for eight weeks. When the Red Cross program concluded, Debbie founded a nonprofit volunteer massage team, bringing therapeutic relief to firefighters at more than 50 firehouses throughout the city. Her team continued this work for two years.
Debbie has also volunteered her services following Hurricane Sandy, providing massage therapy to those affected in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn. She remains passionate about offering healing touch wherever it is needed and believes massage is a powerful tool for recovery, resilience, and care.
